acousticbass,fittedwithanadditionaltwenty-ninesympatheticstringsand
fourdronestrings.Theinstrumentpossessesamelodicrangeofoverfive
octaves,whileitssympatheticrangespansfouroctaves.Thisresultsinan
interplaybetweenmelodic,sympathetic,anddronestringswhichweavesan
unexpectedlandscapeofresonancethatisremarkablyrichintexture.

The8DIOBazantarisadeep-sampledvirtualinstrumentcontainingover2.700
samplesdividedintotwomaincategories:Multi-samplesandphrase-samples.
Themulti-samplesconsistsofbothpluckedandbowedrepresentationsofthe
instrument.Werecordedtraditionalpluckedbasswith8roundrobinspr.note,
ahighlyversatileamountoftappedsamplesat10roundrobins,regular
sustainswithandwithoutvibrato,severaldynamicsustains/swells.Inaddition
wephrase-sampledMarkDeutschplayingthebassinavarietyofwaysfrom
traditionalpluckedandbowedbass–tosolosplayedwithbacksideofthe
bow(conlegno).Wealsodiddeep-samplingofthedronestrings,soyouhave
ahighlyversatileinstrument.Inadditiontheinstrumentwasrecordedina
richchurchenvironmentwithtwosetsofmicrophones(close/internal)and
(ambient/player),souserscanadjustthesoundtotheirlikingrangingfrom
recordingsfromplayerperspectivetomorefar,hallbasedmicrophones..
Wealsoaddedavarietyofcontrols(ex.pedalvolume,releasevolume,noise
reduction,EQetc)andavisualvelocityeditor,soyoucanfullysculptthe
